Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This ongoing toy recall regarding items made in the Asian countries are really alarming. I'm getting to where I don't want to buy ANYTHING from overseas - especially for the kids in my family (or their friends).

This toy recall thing is getting ridiculous. I don't even know what's safe to by for my kids this year. When they make their wish list, they don't understand what is made where.

I was listening to the news this morning about this, and newscasters were reading some emails in response to this latest recall. Some ppl said they were sticking to the basics this year ... clothes, fruits, books, etc. One even took it a step further, saying they were taking their kids and family on a vacation, that "They can't recall memories!".

I'm with you vacelts, I'm very concerned with this years wish lists. There's lots of things out there that are safe, sure, but are they thing the kids really want?

Ho, Ho, Hum. :-)

For my kids I'll be waging the war to find safe (and desired) toys, but for all the other little ones on my gift list this year, I'm making their gifts. That way I'll know its safe.
